Rhode Island Center Assisting Those In Need
The Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency food, clothing, and other vital support measures to neighbors in crisis throughout the state, primarily in Washington County and the surrounding areas.
Through our partnerships with local grocery stores, we work to rescue thousands of pounds of food every work week for the benefit of our guests. We also operate a thrift shoppe adjacent to our pantry to furnish guests with clothing and household items.
This work is only possible through support from people like yourself. Through generous support from donors, we are able to keep our community healthy and happy.
RICan is always looking for passionate volunteers to help us operate our food pantry, thrift shoppe, and other events. Come on in and give your neighbors a hand!
Our mission is to provide, with dignity, emergency food and outreach to thousands of at-risk neighbors in southern Rhode Island and the surrounding communities.
