As the holiday season approaches, RICAN, your local food pantry, is asking for your support at a time
when food insecurity is greater than ever. Federal funding cuts to Feeding America, reductions in SNAP
benefits, and rising costs of food and personal care items are creating a perfect storm for families in our
community. Here at RICAN, we are already preparing for a 20% increase in customers—on top of the 500 families (over 2,500 people) we serve every month. With fewer resources and more people in need, your generosity is vital.

RICAN is a volunteer-driven organization that, last year, donated over 14,000 hours of service, supported by just eight dedicated staff members. We are proud that 91 cents of every dollar goes directly to programs that feed and support our neighbors. Beyond providing supplemental food, our Kindness Program helps families with essentials such as baby items, rental assistance, utilities, work skill training, and even funeral expenses. With your help, we can continue to extend dignity, compassion, and hope to thousands of people in Washington County who rely on us.
